Tufts Medical Center

It’s been a year!

Photo taken March 30, 2020 and now here we are…March 31, 2021…

In the little time that I had come to this organization, I was really able to hit the ground running. I had learned the new system (Intranet) that they had implemented a few months prior in a relatively short amount of time and by doing so, was able to effectively communicate with personnel throughout the organization all levels. One of the most important tasks that I had been tasked with was pushing out a mobile version of our intranet to amplify the communication between departments, announcements, etc. I was able to find a way to push it out so that could be viewed by all as if you were on the website – basically, I had to create the original website all over again in a mobile setting. It was a little tough at first, but I figured it out and got it done! And launching it was a success. A few kinks here and there, but things to be worked on down the road. In such a short time, I was glad I was able to get it done. And that was maybe March/April of 2020, just 3-4months in on the job! I would say a great success on my end. And moving along the year, I was also able to learn more of the system, good enough to build out pages for departments, answer questions, lead trainings, and be a continuous resource for those in need of any issues that they face when it comes to our intranet. I’ve been able to utilize some of my other skills such as graphics and photography to lend a helping hand to my colleagues when called upon and also on that point, so grateful for their trust in me so early on. I really appreciate them and to be apart of such a great team is awesome! So many moments to name, but won’t bore you with it all. I remember looking back at all the things we as a team and individually accomplished with my boss, we were really in amazement as to how much we got done! Again, so so very grateful for my position and being able to be apart of this organization.

Adjusting to the ‘new norm’ hasn’t been easy. Some of us have had good days, some of us bad, but in between it all, I’m sure life lessons to be learned. Besides still being employed during such a time and having an impact on the organization, above all, I’m grateful for my health and close family members and friends who have stayed healthy throughout this time period. And if you’re reading this right now, there’s so much you can be grateful for as well regardless of what you may be going through, you’ve just got to really look for it, and I promise you, you’ll find it! Look beyond the job, beyond the pay check, beyond the accomplishments, yes, those all can play apart of our happiness, but beyond all of that is so much more to LIFE that can be said. I know you know these things, but it’s just a nice little reminder to see/read from time to time. Hey, be well, stay humble, stay grateful. Wishing you all the best.
